The One Year Winner sets feature players whose Big League Careers were very short. Most of the players in these series have not appeared on a baseball card previously. Each card contains the complete vital statistics of each player, along with a short biography and complete Big League Records on the back. Series 1 are black & white photos with green borders. Series 2 & 3 are in full color. Series 1 includes EDDIE GAEDEL (Bill Veeck’s Midget) and BOBO HOLLOMAN (pitched a no-hitter in 1st big league start). Series 2 includes CHUCK NIELSON (struck out 5 batters in 2 innings—the only 2 innings he pitched in the Big Leagues). Series 3 includes DALE WILLIS—(more Major League strike-outs than innings pitched), ALAN BRICE—(0.00 ERA with a 0-1 Major League Record), AL LARY—(brother of Frank Lary), JOHN PACIOREK—(brother of Tom, 3 for 3, 3 RBI’s, 4 Runs in only Big League Game), DAN THOMAS—(the Sundown Kid).
