This set features the 1919 White Sox team that threw the world series and became forever known as the “Black Sox.” Cards measure 2” x 3 1/16” and feature black and white player photos set on a gray background with the player’s name and position at the bottom of the card. Eight cards feature the player set inside a black border, these are the players who were banned from Major League Baseball for life. Each of these cards features a short player bio while the rest of the cards are blankbacked. Also includes one color card of “Shoeless” Joe Jackson standing in front of a cornfield. Sets come packaged in a collectible full-color box. A great collectible for baseball’s most infamous team!
